I was not going to talk, but now I will
Mund Auf
This is a transdisciplinary and collaborative project with sex workers in Berlin that explore legal context, life stories and stigmatization of this sector. The current format is an immersive digital site offering the "experience" of navigating across diverse aspects in this urgent topic in the city.
We first produced an online documentary platform, mapping the situation and talking about how this activity takes place in the city(ities). What problems (with legality, affections, stigmatization) do sex workers face in the urban context? Where do the terrains of utopia/desire for social equity and integration lie? Where does the conflict of migration sit? How can art and a collective creative process address these questions?
Project made in collaboration with Ricardo Sarmiento Ramírez.
We created this platform to reach a wider audience and share information in a cross-sectional format. These life experts are the center of the immersion, whereby the issues are presented through the opinion of each person interviewed, also sharing public archives, and useful info about associations of support.
Mund Auf is a gesture that activates a cartography of territorial perspectives and addresses the legal reality of the sector, the struggles at the political level, and the precise aspirations of this community.
